We were excited to be joined by our past students celebrating their 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 Year Reunions on Saturday 20 November.
The continued extensions to the Melbourne lockdown made this seem an impossible goal at first, so we were pleased to finally host the Reunions onsite! Though Zoom-unions were previously hosted for each of these groups, nothing beats celebrating together. The atmosphere was cheerful, with everyone reconnecting and eager to catch up with their old friends after a long time apart.
Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch, prepared and served by the Tintern Cafe, as well as a walk around the school with a glass of sparkling wine (always a highlight!). Though there were many new and reimagined buildings, much of Tintern was still recognisable. The stories and memories shared on the tours, some of which wouldn’t have been suitable for the ears of their teachers, helped to bring our rich history to life.
We were grateful to also be joined by some of our current students, who were able to share their experience at the school now.
