CLASS OF 2021 VCE RESULTS
We are very pleased indeed to share that our students’ VCE results across the board have again been particularly strong, and we extend our congratulations to the whole VCE cohort. Each student’s results are very important to ensuring the best possible future opportunities for them, and we congratulate every student who has both committed to their progress and then persisted admirably during the last two years of challenging circumstances in the face of the pandemic.
Particular congratulations go to our VCE DUX, Oliver Huang, who achieved an ATAR of 99.15, and to our International VCE DUX, Qingyue (Marlin) Ma, who achieved an ATAR of 98.65. We also offer our congratulations to Year 11 student Olivia Dowling for her perfect score of 50 in Biology and to our other very high achievers and the whole cohort of 2021. While our eyes are instinctively drawn to our strongest performers, as an authentically open-entry school we are very pleased for the whole of the Class of 2021, as their dedication and perseverance has also resulted in the following achievements.
• 1.3% of Tintern students attained an ATAR score of 99+ placing them in the top 1% of the nation.
• 2.6% of Tintern students attained an ATAR score of 98+ placing them in the top 2% of the nation.
• 7.8% of Tintern students attained an ATAR score of 95+ placing them in the top 5% of the nation.
• 14.3% of Tintern students attained an ATAR score of 90+ placing them in the top 10% of the nation.
These results are only a portion of the Year 12 story at Tintern, as our 2021 International Baccalaureate student results will be received on Monday 3 January. We look forward to notifying our community of the aggregated achievements of our 2021 cohort once we have these results, which completes the picture of the commitment and effort by our students.
