Marriages

The Tintern Community congratulate Stephanie Hains (YG 2009) who married Christian Nilsson on 10 October at the Green Building, an events space in Brooklyn, New York. There was nothing normal about their courtship and as the saying goes, distance does make the heart grow fonder. The two met up for a Tinder date never expecting to see one another again. Instead, they began a long-distance relationship that saw them married during lockdown. Read all about their journey for love here in the New York Times.

Cass Hoskins (YG 2011) and Daniel McCarthy married on the 22 February 2020 amongst family, friends, and many Tintern/Southwood alumni, including Emily Shirrefs (YG 2011) who made a gorgeous bridesmaid, and Cass’ brother Cam (YG 2009) looking dapper as a groomsman. The couple feel incredibly lucky to have had their special day unmarred by the pandemic which was impacted so many this year.
