Jaclyn Anderson and her husband Joel Gablek welcomed a baby girl in May 2019, Isabel Georgie Gablek.

Shannon Bailey (Gray YG 2004) and her husband Stuart, welcomed baby girl Marlow Bailey on the 3 December 2019.

Eliza Fildes (YG 2004) and James Campbell welcomed William Edward Campbell on the 12 December 2018 weighing 4.28kg.

Roxi Leow (Bassiray YG 2003) and Sunny Leow announce the safe arrival of Frederick (Freddie) Stockton Leow born on the 23 August 23rd 2019.

Rebecca McNamara (Pallozzi; year group 2003) and her husband, Justin McNamara, welcomed their daughter Finley Freya McNamara into the world on the 7 January 2020. Fin is adored by her parents, her two-year-old sister Harper, and all of her family, including proud Grandmother, Director of Student Welfare Services, Catie McNamara.

Marriages

Alex Pitcher (YG 2010) married Claire Jarvis on the 3 January 2020 at Acacia Ridge in the Yarra Valley. Joining him in celebration were many school friends on a hot summer afternoon.

Death Notices

Marjorie Boadle (Mattingley YG 1936) Died peacefully nearly 101 on the 13 October 2019. Farmer, outback traveller, Friday tennis ‘girl’. A remarkable life.

Elizabeth Cameron (Ward YG 1954) passed away on the 20 November 2019. Mother of Lindy Cameron (YG 1976) and Fiona Ross (Cameron YG 1976). Sadly missed.

Dr Joy Cranswick (Young YG 19412) passed away on Saturday 4 January 2020. Beloved mother of Jill Biesse (Cranswick YG 19696) and Anne Carne (Cranswick YG 1971).

Hilda ‘Marjorie’ Dewhurst (Wilmot YG 1936) Gently and peacefully, Marjorie left us on 22 November 2019, in her hundredth year.

She was the cherished daughter of Edgar and Ada Wilmot (both dec.), the much loved and irreplaceable mother and mother-in-law of Penny Crossman (Dewhurst YG 1965) and Geoff, Peter (dec.) and Tim and Cheryl; the loving grandmother of David, Michael, Katrina, Jackie, Rebecca and Christopher (dec.); and the proud great-grandmother of Lily, Harry, Ethan, Charlie, Maisie, Ellie and Vera.

We thank the wonderful staff at Strathdon Upper McGarvie for the loving care she received, both during her two and a half years there and at her end.

She will stay with us in our memories and forever in our hearts.

Michael Hallang (YG 2013) With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Luke Hallang who passed away on 18 December 2019 at the age of 24.

Nancy Roussac (Auchterlonie YG 1951) Nancy died gently in Foster Hospital on 26 June 2019. She was the much loved and loving wife of Neville, mother of David (dec), Elizabeth and mother-in-law to Shane. A kind and caring daughter of James and Marjorie (both dec), loved sister of Donald, Isobel Wright (Auchterlonie YG 1954) and Heather Hindle (Auchterlonie YG 1961). Sister-in-law to Alison, Russell and Neil and much loved by all the families.

Yvonne Shaw (Bernadou, YG 1955) passed away on 14 February 2020 aged 82 years. Sister of Pam McCartney (Dec) (YG 1952), Lynne Franke (YG 1958) and Brother Philip Bernadou. Wife of Ian (Dec), Mother of Sandra, John and Peter. A Memorial Service was held at St John’s Anglican Church, Forbes NSW on Friday 28 February 2020.

Margaret Walker (Adams YG 1945) Passed away on Friday 8 November 2019. Loved by her husband Don, her family and friends. Mother of Lyn Walker (YG 1974) and sister of Joan Robertson (Adams YG 1944).
