Rose Russell (YG 2019)

Congratulations alumna Rose Russell (YG 2019) for being selected as a member of Tango Energy’s Youth Advisory Board, the Y-Suite!
 
Tango Energy is the retail arm of Pacific Hydro Australia, one of Australia’s leading developers of wind, solar and pumped hydro renewable energy generation assets. Rose will be working with the Y-Suite team, contributing to Tango Energy’s strategy, vision and future business decisions.
 
 

Matt Jane (YG 2009)

Congratulations to alumnus Matt Jane (YG 2009) for being awarded with the EOS/ESD Association Inc. President’s Award for recognition of his significant contributions, leadership, and management that has enhanced EOS/ESD Association, Inc. operations and effectiveness in serving industries and the organisation.
 
Matt is a Global Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Control Program Manager at Tesla and Director at EOS/ESD Association, Inc. Matt has developed Tesla’s ESD Control Program from the ground up resulting in improved yields, customer satisfaction, and factory safety.
 
 

Kathy Watt OAM (YG 1982)

Congratulations to alumna Kathy Watt OAM (YG 1982) on the opening of her photography exhibition titled ‘Tokyo Dreams’.

Kathy Watt is an international award-winning photographer and Olympic gold medallist, her exhibition takes you behind the scenes at the Tokyo Olympics, portraying a variety of Australian and international athletes across a wide range of sports.

Emily Anker (YG 1995)

Congratulations to alumna Emily Anker (YG 1995) for being nominated as a top 3 finalist for the Equestrian Victoria Coach of the Year Award.
 
This award recognises the outstanding achievements and contribution of EA Coaching Scheme accredited coaches coaching in a paid or unpaid capacity at any level of any discipline.
 
Emily is one of Victoria’s most successful eventers. She has competed at all the 5-star events globally and was selected for the Beijing Olympics along with producing many a successful horse and rider at the elite levels of the sport. Emily’s dedication to her students is second to none, supporting, teaching and mentoring them all through their eventing journeys.
 

Sarah de Witt (YG 2009)

Congratulations to Alumna Sarah de Witt (YG 2009) on the launch of talklink Australia’s first completely anonymous online mental health directory.
 
The concept of talklink originated after co-founders Sarah de Witt, husband Ruan de Witt and friend Eric Nastase recognised that many Australians were waiting up to 12 weeks to access mental health support and in many cases, were disheartened by the lack of rapport they felt with their practitioner when they were eventually treated. Prompted by the impacts of COVID-19, the trio utilised their qualifications in psychology and business management to address the gaps in the industry.

Karen Gately (YG 1988)

Congratulations to alumna and Board Member Karen Gately (YG 1988) who recently launched her own podcast – Work Savvy.
 
Karen hosts the podcast each fortnight, alongside her colleague Madeline Cook, together they talk to leading experts and successful business leaders about being a great leader of people and thriving at both work and in life.

Sarah Huang (Class of 2020)

Congratulations to Sarah Huang (Class of 2020) who has been recognised with a Premier’s VCE Award for her outstanding academic results in 2020.

Sarah received a Study Award for excellence in VCE/VET Hospitality Kitchen Operations.

The annual Premier’s VCE Awards recognise the top-performing students in the state. This year, 297 students were recognised with awards for their outstanding results. We are enormously proud of Sarah’s achievement and would like to congratulate her on being the recipient of such a prestigious award.

Sarah is currently studying Patisserie at William Angliss.

We hope to recognise this achievement and present Sarah with her Award at an upcoming Principal’s Assembly.

Katherine Gracey (YG 1996)

Congratulations to alumna Katherine Gracey (YG 1996) on her brand Uniek Australia‘s debut in this year’s Melbourne Fashion Week.

Claire Butcher (YG 2010)

The Tintern Green Team were fortunate to have alumna Claire Butcher (YG 2010) return to Tintern to share her experiences in the Landscape Architecture industry. Claire discussed what Landscape Architects do to make cities and environments more sustainable and liveable for future generations, as well as the Landscape Architecture pathways available at RMIT, the University of Melbourne and alternative pathways into university.

Helen Holliday (YG 1967)

Congratulations to alumna Helen Holliday (YG 1967) on the release of her self-published book, ‘Community in the Dandenongs 1979-2019’, a book on the 40-year history of the premier community music organisation in Australia. Follow the link to learn more.
During her time at Tintern, Helen was the School Pianist and leader of the Madrigal group. Following Tintern, Helen completed her Bachelor of Music at Melbourne (Organ and Piano) and at the invitation of the Music Director at the time, Mrs Kelson, came back to Tintern in 1970 and taught Piano while she completed her degree.
 
 

Fifi Box (YG 1993)

Congratulations to alumna Fifi Box (YG 1993) on the pre-launch of her new clothing line Foxi Box, a range of basic flattering essentials for women of all ages, shapes and sizes. The online store will be is live now, select here for more information. 
 
Congratulations also to Fifi on the publication of her Children’s Book, Minty Mae Gray and the Strangely Good Day.  Fifi wrote her book to help guide daughters Trixie, and Daisy Belle, through this ‘appearance obsessed world.’ You can purchase a signed copy here.
 
 

Jenny Brown (YG 1981)

Congratulations to alumna Jenny Brown (YG 1981) for being nominated in the 2021 Financial Standard Power 50. The list is comprised of the 50 most influential financial advisers in Australia according to the readers of Financial Standard and FS Advice. This is Jenny’s 8th consecutive year being named in this list. Jenny kindly lends her financial expertise to TOGA and has been the Treasurer since 2009.
 
 
 

Richelle McCausland (Cusack YG 2002)

Congratulations to Richelle McCausland (Cusack YG 2002) who is currently serving her second term as the National Health Practitioner Ombudsman and National Health Practitioner Privacy Commissioner, after first being appointed to the role by Health Ministers in May 2018.
After completing her secondary education at Tintern, Richelle studied Arts and Law at the University of Melbourne. She then started her career at one of Australia’s top-tier law firms before moving into the area of public accountability.
 
 

Christian Fitzgerald (YG 2006)

Since leaving Southwood, Christian took a few years to figure out a direction, working as a Data and Communications Technician for several years. Towards the end of this period he commenced studying a Diploma of Product Design, then transferring into a Bachelor of Industrial Design with minors in Marketing.

“During my studies I was heavily involved in both the Swinburne Snow and Waterski/Wakeboard clubs. Having designed several iterations of their logos over the years and participating at a committee level. Towards the end of my course I began working in our family business, and assisted my father with the sales and marketing for our new business, Evolve Technik.”

Christian worked his way up to Co-Director and Business Manager. Currently overseeing the Sales Team, Marketing, Finances, and product research and development.

“In addition, I offer private and group motorsport driver training and education via our sister business Fitzgerald Racing Services. I am now engaged and expected to marry in December 2021 (COVID Pending), with 2 young children (Leon 2yrs, Isla, 7mths).”
